The 2023 Right Whale Festival will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 10am-6pm and Sunday, November 5, 2022 from 10am-3pm at Main Beach, in Fernandina Beach, FL.
Each fall, pregnant North Atlantic right whales travel more than 1,000 miles to the coastal waters of the Southeast U.S. where they give birth to and nurse their young. With less than 350 remaining, this family-fun event raises awareness of the threats to right whales and how we can help in their recovery. The Right Whale Festival brings together non-profit organizations, artists, musicians, marine mammal scientists, as well as state and federal agencies with the common goal to raise awareness for this critically endangered species and promote ways to protect them from extinction.
