Bagel is a juvenile green sea turtle who was found floating near the Steinhatchee River in Taylor county on Dec. 31. Bagel has minor fibropapilloma tumors present and no other external injuries or abnormalities. Bagel’s initial treatment plan consists of vitamins and fluid therapy.

On December 5th, Clearwater Marine Aquarium received 16 juvenile Kemp’s ridleys transfers from New England Aquarium. These turtles were part of a recent mass cold-stun event in Cape Cod Massachusetts.

Challah is a juvenile green sea turtle who was washed ashore on Redington Shores with predation injuries likely from a shark.

Pearl is an adult, female diamondback terrapin who was found floating near a seawall in Palm Harbor with carapace injuries. Pearl was lethargic, underweight, and had minimal use of her rear legs at intake examination. Pearl’s initial treatment includes antibiotics and fluid therapy.

Toast is a large, juvenile green sea turtle who was found out of habitat in Dixie County on October 9.

Sourdough is a large, juvenile green sea turtle who was found washed ashore at a Duke Energy Power Plant in Holiday, FL on October 9.

Rye is a large juvenile Kemp’s ridley from the Spring Hill area who was accidentally caught by a fisherman and ingested a large fish hook.

Naan is a juvenile green sea turtle who was found floating offshore in Citrus County on August 11.

Monkey Bread is a juvenile green sea turtle who was found floating and having difficulty staying submerged offshore of New Port Richey.

Loaf is a juvenile Kemp’s ridley who was accidentally caught by a fisherman in Spring Hill in Hernando County.
