Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Keep Pinellas Beautiful Celebrate World Oceans Day with Community Event on June 7

More than 45 exhibitors to provide environmental education about programs

CLEARWATER, FL (May 15, 2025) — Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Keep Pinellas Beautiful, in partnership with the Tampa Bay Roots & Shoots Alliance, are proud to sponsor a vibrant and educational World Oceans Day celebration on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

This FREE event will feature more than 45 exhibitors from local, regional, and national organizations committed to protecting our oceans and marine ecosystems. Guests of all ages are invited to engage with environmental leaders, participate in hands-on activities, and discover how they can take action to support ocean conservation.

“World Oceans Day is a vital reminder of our connection to the ocean and the importance of protecting its health for future generations,” said Kelly McAdams, Vice President of Education at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. “This event is a fantastic opportunity for families and individuals to learn, connect and be inspired.”

“This World Oceans Day celebration is an excellent example of collaboration in action,” said Pat DePlasco, Executive Director of Keep Pinellas Beautiful. “We are grateful that so many of our environmental partners are joining us for this educational event. Together we will keep Pinellas County beautiful for generations to come.”

Event Highlights:

  • Interactive exhibits and activities from organizations such as the Ocean Conservancy, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Minorities in Shark Science, Sea Turtle Trackers, Sharks4Kids, and many more.
  • A used electronics recycling drop-off hosted by Rocycle, located just outside the aquarium.
  • 20% discount on general admission to Clearwater Marine Aquarium for all World Oceans Day attendees.
  • A Virtual Reality booth experience available on the 4th floor to enhance your aquarium visit.
  • Opportunities to meet passionate environmental advocates and explore careers in marine science, conservation, and sustainability.

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Location: Clearwater Marine Aquarium – 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater, FL 33767 (4th Floor Ballroom)
  • Admission: FREE (Discounted aquarium admission available onsite)
  • Parking: Onsite parking available for $15; street and downtown parking with trolley access also available.

No ticket is required for entry—just bring your curiosity and commitment to protecting our blue planet. Join us for a day of discovery, action, and celebration as we honor the ocean that connects us all.
