Clearwater Marine Aquarium Hosts Spooktacular Oct. 31

CMA to be filled with costumes, candy, creepy crawlers, inflatable maze, and special pricing!

CLEARWATER, FL (Oct. 5, 2023) – Clearwater Marine Aquarium will transform into a Halloween Spooktacular Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 3 – 7 p.m., as it hosts a family-friendly evening of eerie excitement and Halloween fun to create memories with family and friends.

In addition, many of these spooky delights will be available the extended weekend of Oct. 27-30 so aquarium guests can enjoy the fun early, including an inflatable maze, underwater pumpkin carvings, and lots of fall decorations.

On Oct. 31, even more fun will be added as well as special pricing:

  • Adult regular admission price includes one free child admission with every adult ticket purchased. All additional child admissions purchased will be 50 percent off the regular admission price.
  • CMA Members will receive 50 percent off adult regular admission price, and get one free child’s admission with every adult ticket purchased. All additional children’s admissions purchased will be 50 percent off regular door price.

Events include:

  • Spooktastic Aquarium: Clearwater Marine Aquarium will undergo a ghostly transformation as guests tour through the aquarium’s eerie exhibits, and encounter not only marine life but spooky surprises of ghostly grottos, haunted shipwrecks, and mysterious creatures.
  • Underwater Pumpkin Carving: Witness CMA’s dive team’s ability of pumpkin carving… UNDERWATER!
  • Live Entertainment: A DJ will play spooky music; storytelling sessions will give kids a chance sit on the haystacks and listen to some silly, spooky tales.
  • Amazing Animals Presents Trail of Terror: Enter a room with snakes and rats, where guests will encounter tarantulas, scorpions, and other creatures lurking in the shadows. The trail is then transformed into a graveyard and then leads onto a beach, where pirates and skeletons come alive, intertwining tales of the sea’s secrets and mysteries.
  • Costume Contest: Come dressed in your most creative and creepy costumes for a chance to win prizes. The costume contest is open to all ages, and the final winners will be chosen by a special guest.
  • Trick-or-Treat Trail: Follow the candy-filled path through the aquarium, where treat stations await. Encounter friendly costumed characters and collect Halloween goodies along the way. Don’t forget to bring a trick-or-treat bag. Treat stations sponsored by LaDee-Da Kids Spa, Celebration Station, Yacht StarShip, Dippin’ Dots, Empower and Berkshire Hathaway and many more.
  • Animal Presentations: Learn about marine mammals with special presentations by aquarium experts, including presentations with our resident dolphins and animal care specialists.
  • Ghoulish Games and Activities: Enjoy a variety of Halloween and fall-themed games and activities for all ages, from ghoulish dance routines to marine-themed crafts.
  • Family Friendly Movies Throughout: Enjoy Family Friendly Fall Themed and Halloween movies throughout the aquarium.
  • Food and Refreshments: The Shark Bites Cafe and Snack Shack locations will be open and offer their full menus, in addition to event-themed treats.
  • Bounce House: Kids will get the chance to experience an inflatable bounce house.
