Morean Arts Center art instructors to show art techniques; Conservation artist to speak
CLEARWATER, FL (Nov. 30, 2023) – Clearwater Marine Aquarium will host Marine Masterpieces: A Night of Art and Conservation, in partnership with the Morean Arts Center. This enchanting evening will bring together the worlds of art and marine wonder in a family-friendly event on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
CMA invites the public to explore collaborative marine-themed art installations, get up close to artists and instructors who will demonstrate art techniques and engage in creative activities for all ages. They will have the opportunity to meet the young artist behind the Morean Art Center’s collaboration, featuring talented youth from our community. This event will truly be a celebration of art and conservation.
One of the highlights of the evening will be the exclusive access of the Aquarium’s newly designed art-centric 4th Floor in the Visitor’s Center. This floor includes ArtSEA: The Art of Conservation, Washed Ashore unique sculptures, and Project Holocene marine life paintings by international artist Russell Ronat, who will be at the event and speak about his art and conservation project. Guests will have the chance to immerse themselves in these captivating art installations, showcasing the beauty and importance of marine life conservation.
In addition to the art exhibits, Marine Masterpieces will offer a variety of entertainment and culinary delights. Guests can savor delectable food, local wines and kid-friendly fare, while enjoying live entertainment. As the sun sets, the aquarium’s magical ambiance comes alive, offering a memorable experience for families. Guests will have access to underwater views of the rescued dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays, and other resident animals, as well as the opportunity to explore marine life habitats viewable during the evening hours until 8:30 p.m.
Tickets for Marine Masterpieces are priced at $50 for adults and $35 for children. Members of Clearwater Marine Aquarium will receive tickets for only $20 and can enter early at 6 p.m., before the event officially begins.
