DONATELLO’S STORY
Donatello is a juvenile green sea turtle who was found floating near Palm Coast, FL in Flagler County on March 15. He was found thin, heavily covered in algae, and a mild case of leeches. Donatello, along with 5 other turtles, was transferred to Clearwater Marine Aquarium from Volusia County Marine Science Center on April 1 because of limited space. Donatello has some missing scutes with bone exposure, and there is a sign of healing tissue. Donatello is doing well and improving under our care!
INTERESTING FACT: Six sea turtles transferred together from Volusia County were named after characters from The Ninja Turtles!
NAMING THEME: Ninja Turtles.
