Nike
Nike is a juvenile, green sea turtle who was found floating with boat strike injuries near John’s Pass on Feb. 12th. Nike is otherwise in good body condition. Their initial treatment plan consists of anti-inflammatories and antibiotics.

Nike went for a CT scan to check for signs of internal damage from the boat strike injury. No obvious concerns seen. They will be receiving routine debridement of carapace injury and bandage changes over the next several weeks. We are offering food daily and slowly increasing their swim time.

Nike has started eating! This is great news and will help them heal. They are able to be a kiddie pool all day and overnight.

All marine turtle footage taken in Florida was obtained with the approval of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) under conditions not harmful to marine turtles.
