Quinn’s Story

Quinn is a sub-adult green sea turtle who was found floating offshore of Homosassa in Citrus County on April 21, 2019. After x-rays, it was discovered there was some gastrointestinal gas that could be the cause of her floating. Her initial treatment plan consists of fluids and vitamins.

Bloodwork sent out the lab.

X-rays completed. Ate some of sample diet offered!

Glucose checks discontinued and moved to a larger rehab pool! Doing well!

Cleared for release by our veterinarian and FWC!


All marine turtle footage taken in Florida was obtained with the approval of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) under conditions not harmful to marine turtles. Footage was acquired while conducting authorized conservation activities pursuant to FWC MTP-18-172.
