Ruby’s Story
Ruby is a juvenile green sea turtle who found washed ashore on March 24 in Volusia county. Due to space limitations, Ruby was transferred to CMA from Volusia County Marine Science Center to continue out the remainder of their rehabilitation.

Ruby’s first swim test showed floating behaviors due to this we placed them in a shallow pool. We will gradually increase their swim time as they improve.

All marine turtle footage taken in Florida was obtained with the approval of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) under conditions not harmful to marine turtles.
