Trick or Treat with the Fishes as Clearwater Marine Aquarium Hosts Halloween Spookquarium Oct. 31

CMA to be filled with costumes, candy, creepy crawlers!

Clearwater, Florida. (October 14, 2025) — Clearwater Marine Aquarium will transform into a Halloween Spookquarium Friday, Oct. 31from 3 – 6 p.m., as it hosts a family-friendly evening of eerie excitement and Halloween fun to create memories with family and friends.

In addition, many of these spooky delights will be available the extended weekend of Oct. 27-30 so aquarium guests can enjoy the fun early, including an inflatable maze, underwater pumpkin carvings, and lots of fall decorations.

Event includes:

Trick or Treat Stations throughout the Aquarium and collect Halloween goodies along the way. Trick or treat stations available with admission from 3 to 6 p.m.

Costume contest: Dress up in  your most creative, spooky or cute costume for a chance to win prizes. The costume contest is open to all ages. Time: 4:45 p.m. in front of the Window of Wonder.

Ghoulish games and activities: Enjoy a variety of Halloween and fall-themed games, activities and crafts for all ages, including Slime Time!

CMA Trick or Treat bags will be available for the first 100 kids at Guest Services beginning at 2:45 p.m. Available while supplies last. Also, free Dippin’ Dots samples from 4:30  to 5:30 p.m.

Underwater Pumpkin Carving: Witness CMA’s dive team’s ability of pumpkin carving… UNDERWATER! Between 4 and 5:30 p.m.

Creepy Sea Cavern: The Education Department will have the spook-tacular experience – a chance to explore the mysterious world of deep-sea creatures, games, and crafts – on the Education Floor (normally closed to the public) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Venture into the Abyss: Step into the dark and discover animals that light up the abyss! Interactive games and sensory experiences await guests in this area.

Move Your Bones Zone: Full of fun, interactive learning activities that will get you moving! Learn about the giant squid, jellyfish and more in this area.

Creepy Crafts: Wind down with some Halloween and deep-sea inspired crafts. Perfect for a relaxing, creative break!

Businesses or organizations are welcome to join us in sponsoring a Trick or Treat station. We are inviting local businesses to participate in the fun community event.
