Ricotta is a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle who came in during our cheese naming theme. She was transferred to CMA on April 25 from the east coast of Florida. Upon examination, it was discovered that Ricotta had monofilament line wrapped around her front flipper.

Two sea turtles returned to the Gulf of Mexico on Wed., May 9 after rehabilitation at Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA). The sea turtles, rescued by the CMA team, were impacted by various threats, including fishing hook and line ingestion and the fibropapilloma virus.
